FAQs

A Lifestyle Medicine doctor uses evidence-based medicine to focus on chronic diseases that are induced by lifestyle choices.
Boy is there! There are many plant-based foods that are packed with healthy proteins, including edamame, hemp seeds, nuts, and legumes, to name few.
Then choose progress over perfection. Incorporating a more plant-rich diet can have a huge impact on health, even if it is not 100% plant-based.
No. Lifestyle medicine and the work it entails is not reimbursed by insurance. However, this gives our practice the freedom to truly practice medicine and do the work that is needed to create meaningful change. At ARGOW Health, we are not bound by quotas and time limits. An appointment can be 30 minutes or 2 hours depending on what you need. We can meet once a week or several times a week, all based on your requirements and not what is deemed “appropriate” by insurance companies.
Two words: what we do is evidence based. While one diet might not fit everyone, there are basic principles that offer health. At ARGOW Health, we aid our clients and help them to understand these fundamentals to make changes that are lifelong, not temporary.
No way! A plant-based diet offers plenty of diversity in flavors and colors. There are innumerable ways to prepare tasty, healthy foods that are both a joy to eat and improve your health. At ARGOW Health, we teach the skills that are needed to prepare healthy, flavorful foods, from shopping to cooking, even including recipes!
